Christine Louise Rhyne Obituary

Christine Louise (Lucy) Rhyne, 75, of 2205 Woodleaf Rd, Salisbury, NC joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 29, 2024.

Christine Louise Rhyne was born August 31, 1948, to Willie John and Mildred Heilig Rhyne in Rowan County, NC.

Christine was educated in Rowan Public Schools. She was previously employed at Cone Mills and M&R Cleaning Service of Salisbury, NC.

Known by her family and friends as Lucy. She was one of main ingredients needed to keep the family functions exciting and fun. She loved to bowl and spend time with her friends. She was a dedicated member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, China Grove where she served as a songbird on the Oak Grove Mass Choir. She was a person to know and love.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandmother, Lena Heilig who raised her and loved her dearly; her brothers, Willie Rhyne and Calvin Reid; and one sister, Hazel Reid; her grandsons Anthony (Tootie) Rhyne and Niye Hajie Rhyne; One niece Sophie Jackson; and one nephew Kevin Miller.

Christine leaves to cherish her precious memories daughter Letitia (Denine) Rhyne of Kannapolis; and two sons, Clarence (Vonda) Rhyne of Kannapolis and Terry (Amanda) Rhyne of China Grove; three sisters, Patricia H. Williamson and Rita Sturdivant of Salisbury, and Brenda (Greg) Propst of Kannapolis; one brother, Harold (Sharon) Reid Jr. of Mocksville; special friend, Jackie Craven; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
