Mr. Charles Fredrick Harris

Charles Fredrick (Roady) Harris, 81, of 1160 Chatham LN, Salisbury, NC joined his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.

Charles Fredrick Harris was born April 25, 1943, to Charles Frank and Fannie Sifford Harris in Rowan County, NC.

Charles was educated in Rowan Public Schools, graduating from Price High School where he was affectionately known as “Bear.” He was previously employed by the Rowan Salisbury School System. During his tenure in the school system, he worked at China Grove Junior High School as the Head Custodian. His hardest job was to keep his daughter, Bridgette and her sassy mouth, under control (LOL).

Known by his family and friends as Charles (Roady). He was one in the community that you could always turn to for help. He was Westside’s Resident Taxi Service. He always wanted to make sure everyone had what they needed. He was a dedicated member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, China Grove where he served as a previous member on the Men’s Choir and an avid participant of all senior activities. He was a person to know and love.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandmother Bessie Allison who loved him dearly. His brother Larry Harris and sister Bernice (Bonnie) Barber.

Charles leaves to cherish his precious memories daughters Bridgette (Ricky) Ardrey of Salisbury, NC, Jackie (Travis) Grace of Salisbury, NC; and son Eric (Kia) Harris of Kannapolis, NC; sister, Shirley (Hugh) Sloan; ten grandchildren (Chantelle & Spencer Isaac); nine great-grandchildren (Cadence & Gianna) and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
